The work initially refers to René Magrittes La trahison des images (The treachery of images) from 1929, which shows a pipe and the words „Ceci n’est pas une pipe“ underneath. It thematizes the relationship between the object, its designation and its visual representation.

Ne pas - analogue_series#no.21929 was created as a commissioned work in the context of widespread video conference communications during the Covid-19 pandemic and the observation of how many scientists show themselves there. Regardless of the discipline, scientists often sit in front of walls of books, sometimes even virtual walls of books. Designers, on the other hand, often use white walls.
